Ah I wasn't aware picture frames were a purchasable blueprint, just started recently, it appears to be going much better on the larger canvases.

I purchased this because the examples I saw looked good, however I designed a simple sign and started the painting and the result is extremely sub par, I feel like I could do this result manually myself, maybe even better, so what's the issue??
I tried making adjustments in the experimental section also and it looked no different than the default settings.
